Tools needed for cleaning the Samsung electric stovetop
There are different kinds of tools ranging from abrasives to non-abrasive tools and cleaning agents. You do not need a harsh or abrasive tool/cleaning agent to get your stovetop clean. All you need are the following;
- Liquid soap
- Glass cleaner
- White vinegar
- Scouring foam
Liquid Soap
To get your fancy stove top cleaned, turn off the stove completely and if it is heated, then allow it to cool.
Once it is cool, then you can start by squirting a large amount of liquid soap on the stovetop. Allow it to soak the sticky, stubborn stains entirely.
Then wet your scouring foam with water then begin to scrub the surface of the stovetop. This will produce a whitish or brownish-foamy substance due to the rubbing effect.
Once you are satisfied with scrubbing and all the dirt is out, get another scouring foam, wet it with water then, and then wipe the stove top as gently as you can.
Wipe it once, line by line just so you can get rid of the soapiness. Then rinse the foam and clean the stove top again.
Once all the soapiness is out, spray the stove top with a generous amount of white vinegar.
Then leave it to dry. You will observe after a while that the stove top begins to shine under the lights. This is because the white vinegar gives it a glossy, shiny finish.
Glass cleaner
Just in case you have a glass cleaner, then you do not need to worry about using a mild liquid soap because the glass cleaner will work the magic for you.
So turn off the stove, allow it to cool for a while, then spray the glass cleaner on the surface generously until the stovetop is all covered.
Allow it to sit for 5 minutes. Next, wet your dry soft microfiber cloth or, preferably, get a scouring foam, especially for your stovetop.
Then begin to scrub the stove top thoroughly until all the grime and dirt are out. Now use another wet foam or damp microfiber cloth to wipe off the soapiness from the stovetop.
Once this has been done, you can now get to use your freshly cleaned stove top! The glass cleaner also gives the stove top a sparkling effect so that it doesn’t dull the surface of your stovetop.
Can you use Baking Soda?
It all depends on the kind of emergency you have going on your stovetop. Emergencies like sticky, stubborn stains are completely stuck on your stovetop.
You can use baking soda, but not in all cases. You can only use a small quantity, and it is best you mix the baking soda with mild liquid soap to form a watery mixture.
Then use the foam to scrub the affected surface gently with the watery soda mix.
This should get your stuck stain off. once this is done, you can clean off the surface using a soft damp towel or foam.
Can you use salt and ammonia to clean the stovetop?
You cannot use abrasives to clean your Samsung electric stove top.
This is because salt has a coarse texture, and it has the tendency to create lines on the surface of the stovetop while scrubbing against the surface. So it’s best you get rid of salt totally.
Do not use it to clean the stovetop. You should not use household ammonia too.
This is because you are about to clean a glass surface, and ammonia is a chemical that is designed for hard surfaces, not delicate ones.
So you may have to do away with any of these abrasives.
Can you use a plastic scraper and steel sponge?
Just in case you have tough stains on your Samsung electric stove top, you do not need to use a steel sponge. Or anything made of steel to get rid of the tough stains.
This is because a steel sponge can create a scratchy surface problem.
This means that the surface of your Samsung electric stove top may get wounded in the process of removing these stains. And this may, in a way, affect the heating process of the stovetop.
So do away with a hard sponge or tools. Instead, you can make use of a plastic scraper. It would get the stains off pretty fast if you try.
How often can you clean your Samsung electric stove top?
It is only proper for you to get your stove top cleaned daily.
Before you go to bed or after every meal, once the stove top has cooled off, you should get a dry towel to quickly wipe the surface, dusting off every food debris and dislodging every food stain.
If this is done daily, then you may not need to combat tough stains.
Finally, if you are always very busy and you find it tiring to clean daily, then you can as well clean every week. Since you are cleaning weekly, then you might need to use a thorough method of cleaning the stovetop.
You can also clean the stove top twice every month, but it is advisable to clean the stove top daily because this will prolong the lifespan of your Samsung electric stove and also increase its efficiency as well.
